Wing Sin Chiu received her Master in Pharmacy from the University of Bath in 2010. Following her registration as a pharmacist, she undertook a PhD at the same university working with Prof. Richard Guy and Dr. Begona Delgado-Charro, where her research focused on the drug delivery into the skin and nail. She then continued at Bath as a post-doctoral researcher working on the development of equivalence methodologies for topical drug products.
Wing Sin joined the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in 2015 and worked within the agency’s licensing division as a pharmaceutical assessor. During this period, she was involved in the development of the European Medicines Agency (EMA)’s draft Guideline on quality and equivalence of topical products. She has gained special interest and experience in the regulatory considerations for the demonstration of pharmaceutical equivalence and the prediction of therapeutic equivalence with in vitro and in vivo methods. Wing Sin is currently working as a Senior Medical Advisor in the Pfizer UK Inflammation and Immunology unit.
